The Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research Innovation & Strategic Partnerships chairs a number of university-wide committees, including:
- University Research and Innovation Committee (URIC)
The ABUAD Research and Innovation Committee is established to guide and provide oversight for the review, development and implementation of policies relating to the execution of academic research and research training at ABUAD. The Committee will develop and monitor the development and progress of the research priorities of the University, as informed by the University Strategic Plan. It will provide recommendations on matters such as: research synergies and themes; university research chairs and centers of excellence; recruitment of research personnel; research priorities and alignment with coursework program areas, and engagement relationships with external stakeholders
- Annual Research Forum and Exhibition Committee
The ABUAD Annual Research Forum and Exhibition Committee provides a meeting point for students, researchers and academics from the University’s colleges, centers and institutes; including global partners and stakeholders, to assess and review the institution’s research enterprise. This high profile annual eventprovides theory grounded discussions and original research presentations, demonstrate new tools, report on the implementation of new programs, collaborations, innovations and other relevant projects that are in line with ABUAD’s Strategic Research Plan
The forum will provide an opportunity to highlight the important and award winning research being conducted at ABUAD in diverse areas of agriculture, entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, water security, energy security, cyber security, social priorities and health; and the goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
